Ages & Teams

Any student K-12 grade may compete. ORSCA tournaments have four sections: primary (grades K-3), elementary (grades 4-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12). Players will be placed into sections based on their grade level in school.

You must be a current member of USCF. USCF will not rate or post tournament results unless 100% of the participants are current USCF members. See USCF link on main page. You can register and get an ID card on line.

Tournaments are run as individual and team simultaneously. Two or more students in the same section/same school form a team. If a school has more than 4 players in a division the top 4 players at the end of the day are counted for team points. You do not need to have a team to play.

Trophies are awarded after round five for the top three teams and individuals in each division.

Under 16 must have an adult present at all times (coach, parent etc.). We do not supervise players outside the tournament area.
